Types of Processors For Laptops

Types of processors

There are many types of processors but all the different types of processors that are made by 2 major companies AMD and Intel. Both intel and AMD processors are good they are just competitors their chipsets are up to date and never fail to disappoint its users. In this blog I will walk you through different types of processors available in the market and what you should go depending on your preferences. I have not mentioned any technical details in the post because I don’t want to go deep into those technical details.

    1.       U Series Processors

These processors are made for ultra-low power usage, this means they have a long-lasting battery. When coming to the main usage they are compatible for office work, normal day to day task, video conferencing, document and browsing. Here are 13th generation intel U series processors.

    2.       P Series Processors

These processors are introduced by Intel. These are the processors which perform better than U series but cannot compete with H series. So, P processors are in between U and H series. It does all the tasks done by U series easily and it is made for students mainly for basic coding and it comes with IRIS XE graphics, so it supports normal video editing and entry level music production.

AMD doesn’t come with P series, but it has some U series chipsets which perform equally with P series like Ryzen 5 7530U.

    3.       HS Series Processors

These are trending from the past 2 years. These perform as H series, but they come with slightly less power usage. These are mostly used in thin gaming laptops. So, its main use case is less power usage and better performance. These are inly available in AMD. They easily perform gaming, coding, video editing and 3d modelling.

     4.       H Series Processors

They perform better than HS series, but the main drawback is they draw more power than HS series. These are mostly marketed as desktop level Performance processors. They can handle illustrator, 3d modelling, aftereffects, Architecture, Rendering and any other higher performance tasks. So, you must go with the H series if you want desktop level performance and an all-rounder laptop.

5.       HX Series Processors

These processors give desktop performance.

For example, Intel i9-13980HX processor can draw up to 80,90,100-watt power.

AMD Ryzen 9-7945HX is so powerful that it easily outperforms intel HX processors here is the performance score.

Due to the high performance HX processors are costly so choose wisely according to your use case.
